HPP Corporate, Promotional & Instructional Video Rates We prefer quoting video production rates by the project. For those who prefer to hire us by the hour, here are our hourly rates per camera- multi-cam rates are custom quoted on an individual basis. 1/2 day = 4 hrs., full day = 8 hrs., 3 hr. min. on hourly service. Prices include camera person, assistants are extra. (see below) Tapes are extra. Jobs requiring extensive equipment require a full day commitment due to preparation time. We can provide a detailed bid on projects large and small. Mahalo! Call 947-4774. Mini-dv palmcorder service- Panasonic DVX100a $80./ hr $295./ 1/2 day, $565./ day 3 hours mimimum. Rate includes tripod, light kit, wireless Mic or condenser Mic w/boom, zepplin and wind sock, on-camera light. Other equip. available for addl. fee. This camera matches quite well with our Sony full-sized cameras shown below: Sony DVCam service- DSR300 & DSR400 (full-size) $95./ hr $350./ 1/2 day, $650./ day 3 hours minimum. Sony DVCam is significantly better than mini-dv. Less signal per inch of tape generally offers little or no compession flicker with slo-mo and high-contrast lighting. DSR300 & 400 cameras gives you super clean image quality and great low-light performance, not to mention 3 hr tapes. Our canon 18x IF lenses are tailor made for conventions & events requiring great shooting distances. HDV format- 720 res via Sony or JVC cameras $105./ hr $400./ 1⁄2 day $750./ day 3 hours minimum. HDV camcorders are quite versatile and offer better image quality than mini-dv in a wide-screen format. HDV is greatly compressed, similar to DV, and as such we only recommend this option where lighting is even and nicely controlled. Color information is much higher, and can look very nice when lighting and contrast conditions are ideal. 720 res HDV looks quite nice on HD televisions as most have automatic 720 res playback. HDV does not fare well when greatly manipulated or pushed in post production. Includes equipment listed in Sony DVCam services above. Hi Definition service- Red one Camera- High-end HD $140./ hr $525./ 1⁄2 day $975./ day 3 hours minimum. Rates are subject to change, HD service generally requires at least a one-day commitment. Red one camera shoots at up to 4000 res, offers many different frame rates, 7 stops of dynamic range and unsurpassed image quality in its class. We offer major production services which include- Jimmy jib crane with Hawaii’s best operator, full-range of HMI lighting, generators, grip pkgs that are virtually unlimited etc. We can put together everything at a competitive price and offer you exceptionally talented camera & Jib operators, directors, crew etc. Call Call 947-4774 for more info, confidential no-cost consultation and price quotation. Betacam SP services $115./hr., $425./1/2 day $795./day 3 hours minimum Betacam SP was the broadcast standard for many years, and is still widely used. It is an analog, high-res and bandwidth standard def format that is totally uncompressed, making it exceptional for green screen applications. Our edit system features a 10 bit A to D card that puts camera original signal into our FCP computer edit system with incredible image quality, allowing us to master digitally from that point onto most any format and look great. Uncompressed Betacam SP holds up very well under fairly intense digital manipulation, and offers outstanding slow motion. Wide 16:9 and also 4:3 normal screen. Same gear as Mini-DV Pkg. PLUS Matte box & Filter set that includes: low contrast series, black promist, Polarizing, blue grads, ND grad, coral, 81A/B warming, soft fx. Also available for addl fees: Chimera soft boxes (2) w/ 1k or 600W lights, portable jib, curved and straight dolly systems, HMI lights/generators, huge diffusion & reflector panels, etc. Other Production Services Grips and assistants are $15.-$20./hr. Lighting packages, with & without generators, are virtually unlimited. Licensed electricians are available to install power circuits directly onto existing power sources. We can convert daylight to match interior lighting, or visa versa. We can reflect existing light with small to huge reflectors, and offer all the manpower and gear to deal with the elements in Hawaii, as well as special sun "screens" that diffuse strong sunlight. HMI lights and crystal sync 60 KW generator pkgs. available. Expert camera jib services, dolly systems- curved and straight etc make your production very professional. If you want increased production value, you generally must incorporate these services. We can secure locations, and we will advise you precisely on expected conditions for the time of year, and the lighting conditions that exist at the locations that you may be considering. Hawaii is a very physical place, so planning and careful preparation is essential to your Production's success. We are expert at dealing with strong winds and sun in Hawaii, and carry necessary liability insurance coverage. Post-Production Services We work with Final Cut Pro for all projects.
